The village of La Oliva

The village of La Oliva

Lush natural surroundings, history and a rich culinary scene make this destination an ideal place for tourists looking to enjoy themselves and explore.

A town surrounded by nature

Located in the north of the island, this small town of just 20,000 inhabitants is home to attractions such as the Isla de Lobos Nature Reserve, the Dunas de Corralejo Nature Reserve and Mount Tindaya. For those who prefer to explore its streets, La Oliva offers several places of interest, such as La Casa de los Coroneles, a stately 17th-century building, or the Church of Nuestra Señora la Candelaria, one of the largest on the island, which is unique in having a square-based stone bell tower.

Cafés everywhere

One of the curiosities of La Oliva is that it is the town on the island with the highest proportion of cafés, restaurants and patisseries in the whole of Fuerteventura, making this spot a favourite among lovers of fine dining.
