Little Port of Lobos

Little Port of Lobos

An unspoilt haven with fishermen’s huts, natural pools and a beachfront restaurant, ideal for enjoying nature and going snorkelling.

Fishermen’s huts on Lobos Islet

What was once a luxurious refuge for sea lions has become one of the most attractive sights on Fuerteventura. To reach Lobos Islet, in the north of Fuerteventura, simply take a boat from Corralejo; the crossing takes about twenty minutes. A ten-minute walk from the jetty, visitors will find Puertito de Lobos, a small cluster of white fishermen’s huts with blue doors and the only inhabited settlement on this unspoilt island.

Natural pools and a seaside restaurant

Just a dozen or so houses make up this settlement, and beyond that, human presence disappears into a wild, unspoilt islet. The hamlet of Puertito de Lobos is built in an idyllic setting: white sand and volcanic rock blend to form spectacular natural seawater pools – crystal-clear and calm, ideal for snorkelling or enjoying a family day out. After a swim, there’s nothing better than eating at the only restaurant in Puertito, with unbeatable views over the small bay.
