The Peñitas Ravine
The Charm of the Ravine
The Las Peñitas Ravine is an exceptional spot on the island of Fuerteventura and one of the most captivating destinations the island has to offer. This iconic spot is situated within the Betancuria Rural Park Protected Natural Area. Although the Las Peñitas ravine stretches from the village of Betancuria to the head of the Mal Paso ravine, it is commonly known as ‘Las Peñitas’ in reference to the section located just beyond the dam of the same name, built in 1937.
