Beaches
La Concha. El Cotillo
One of the most famous beaches on Fuerteventura
In the north-west of the island of Fuerteventura lie the beaches of the fishing village of El Cotillo. To the north, they stretch out as a series of family-friendly coves with white sand and calm turquoise waters. Among them is La Concha beach, one of the most famous on the island of Fuerteventura for its tranquillity, beauty and quality. And its proximity to the village offers the chance to enjoy, from a terrace overlooking the sea, a majestic sunset where the sky changes from ochre to violet in a matter of minutes.
A white-sand cove for the whole family in El Cotillo
La Concha beach always has gentle waves thanks to its natural horseshoe-shaped reef. On windy days, the corralitos – small circular walls made of volcanic stone built by the locals – can provide shelter. And at low tide, the little ones can play safely in the pools that form among the surrounding rocks. There is a car park very close to the beach and lifeguard services, as well as apartments and a restaurant with a terrace just a short walk away.
