Two kilometres of tourist beach near La Lajita
Very close to the village of La Lajita, in the south of the island of Fuerteventura, lies Costa Calma beach, a tourist beach with two kilometres of white sand and refreshing turquoise waters. Its idyllic shoreline invites you to take a leisurely stroll with stunning views of a coastline dotted with ochre-coloured mountains, smoothed by erosion. Sheltered from the wind by several hotels and apartment blocks, if visitors choose to stay at one of the resorts for their holiday, they can step straight from the pool onto the soft sand and dive into the sea.

Costa Calma beach is the main stretch of several sections that join together at low tide. In its northern section, two small family-friendly beaches form. When the wind picks up a little, the southern area is perfect for learning to surf and windsurf. The nearby accommodation options provide the beach with various services such as sun loungers and parasols, lifeguard supervision and a variety of water sports activities. The access road is lined with native vegetation, making Costa Calma seem like a true oasis amidst the white sand.
